C’mon Mr. President

Just moments ago, House GOP leaders proposed a short-term debt ceiling hike, in exchange for a ‘real commitment’ from the President.

House Speaker John Boehner said:

“It’s time for leadership.  It’s time for these negotiations and this conversation to begin.  I would hope that the president will look at this as an opportunity and a good faith effort on our part to move half way — half way to what he’s demanded — in order to have these conversations begin.”
